Ariel Shkolnik, a complementary medicine therapist who volunteers at Yedei Or, tells about his first meeting with Lev, an ALS patient:
"Moving and fills the heart with gratitude for the privilege of doing good: Lev is a positive experience for me. The truth is that when I arrived at your house I didn't really know what to expect, since I only joined Yedei Or two weeks prior to that. I knew I was doing something good that warms the heart. But I quickly became aware of the amount of joy of you and your wife Yelena. A house full of joy of life and optimism. What can I say about you, dear man, just a lot to learn and enjoy your company. We laughed, talked a lot about everything. These are the moments when it's really important to help and it's not a question at all. I'm glad I joined this amazing organization That fills the heart so much. For me, this organization is not just giving, it's a way of life. Lev, you entered my soul.
I recommend to all complementary therapists - come and help, it fills the heart!"
A partner of an als patient tells about the treatment experience:
I saw the lightning up in her eyes, it reawakened her will to live and hope. He spoke to her patiently and kindly, explaining to her that there is a way to help and that not everything in her life is black. I saw the understanding between them. An amazing guy, understanding and caring, not in a hurry. I was most happy to see the smile on her face that hardly appeared for a long time. You are amazing, it warms my heart to have people like you around me.
